ACE WOMEN’S NETWORK
The ACE Women’s Network is a national system of networks within each state, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia with the goal of advancing and supporting women in higher education. Each state network is led by a state coordinator who works with institutional representatives and at least one presidential sponsor to develop programs that identify, develop, encourage, advance, link, and support (IDEALS) women in higher education careers within that state. NEWS from ACE NATIONAL
Registration is now open for the ACE Women’s Network Leadership Conference (WNLC), to be held virtually in conjunction with ACE2021, ACE’s Annual Meeting. You don’t want to miss learning how leaders continue to face higher education’s challenges head-on and empower women’s leadership.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to declining representation of women in the workforce and in senior levels of administrative leadership. Women are leaving the higher education workforce in disproportionately greater numbers in response to economic and fiscal challenges, and even among those who persist, pay equity and equal opportunity continue to be elusive. The WNLC will focus on strategies to advocate for and promote women’s genuine representation in all sectors of higher education; advance women in the academy; and resist the prevailing systemic, cultural, and institutional structures and norms. Session topics will inspire you with insights for personal well-being as well as action items to take charge in your career, community, and state network.
Once the conference wraps, celebrate women’s leadership during the ACE Toast to Women in Higher Education Leadership (traditionally known as the ACE Women’s Leadership Dinner). The 2021 conference and toast, both generously supported by TIAA, are sure to motivate you, institutional representatives, and your network leadership board.
You can register for the WNLC through the ACE Annual Meeting registration page. For more information, please contact WomensNetwork@acenet.edu.
